here is a splash art i made to go on my artfight page :]

i love how this one turned out. i think the composition eats and so does the lineart. everyoone looks so cutieful here <3 however... it is with this artwork where i learned that lasso-tooling in krita is absolutely miserable. ibis makes it so damn easy; huge clean crisp shapes with the limited swipe of your finger. having a tiny ass canvas size actually helps, wheras with a tablet you have to drag the pen the whole distance and it ends up messy and wobbly. i don't use stabilizers in ibis and i have to in krita 😐 and it is nawt even worth it. this took me i kid you not 7 hours on-and-off in krita wheras if i just used my damn phone and finger it would have taken 2 hours max for equal quality. and i did not switch out of stubbornness.

while i'm here i might as well drop the other splash arts i've made for AF. they weren't made in 2026 but 2023, but i've never showed them here before and i need to fill up the page, so. look at my improvement raaahhhh

i actually removed this PTC art from my artfight because i made a recent narrative change... archer's not the protag of arc 2 anymore, it's esme now :]] i'll eventually remake this art with esme instead. i made the swap bcs i figured she made way more sense as "audience surrogate." she's also actively proactive in the cosmic drama wheras archer is rly set in his ways morally and has to be DRAGGED around by the plot. it made his venture as protag feel kinda... aimless? him being the antagonist instead of villain-protag is nice too... also good for the other charas (esme, lyre, juro) who NEEDED more screentime. archer can fall back as lyre's arm candy now, it's okay.
