final thoughts

to hone in on art discussion for this month, i've been favoring flat coloring/cel shading way more recently. i haven't had that painting urge in a while but that's probably a good thing. hyper-rendering or painting on a phone in general is really damn tedious. even though the art of last april/last year are still nice-looking in my eyes, i think i've exhausted that painterly style lol. i guess i'll be doing simplistic lasso tool stuff for a while, but we'll see.

luluyam is a rising artist i've been getting into lately. call the song corny or whatever but im genuinely rly rooting for them ehe. i love their whole music style and artist persona and their visual artwork WHEW. the characters that appear in their MVs are also in a webcomic that's currently in the works, winkwink.

EDIT AUG: 'divine ceo' has been out for a while, you should listen to that one too.

'roaches' in combination with 'tool' by maretu were like a married couple with how compatible they were on my mind.

this one is so AMV-able, i kept imagining animations and whacky scenarios in my head to this one.
