ELLO! ember sācher's my penname, i am a hobbyist OC artist and a wannabe comic creator! strictly self-indulgent and increasingly fanatical, i need to make a pretty picture every day or i will die.

i have a fondness for sea & space-inspired characters, themes of cycles and endings, and polite men and insane women! most of the art on this site is dedicated to characters from a space fantasy of mine, PTC, whose story i scatter here in small discombobulated increments.

where does the name "ember sācher" come from, anyhow? (a ramble on pronunciations and inspirations)

fun trivia if anyone rly wants to know--!

my penname is inspired by the band, “alice schach and the magic orchestra!” i rather impulsively decided i wanted to pay tribute to them somehow :} thus became schach —> sācher overtime. normally, "sacher" is not meant to have the hard ā over it, but i had the inclination to pronounce it like "say-sure." germans may feel free to beat me to death.

digital art

i use ibispaint to draw. im still searching for a brush that perfectly replicates the mspaint marker, PLEASE if anyone has a QR code for one, CONTACT ME PLEAAASEEE

custom brushes i use:

for sketching, i use the default 'ruling pen' brush on 30% opacity.

for gradients, soft shading, and the like, i have a modified 'pen (fade)' brush.
